Food Matters Live – inspiring the future of food innovation
From bringing ingredient innovation to life, market trends and the latest evidence based research to unlocking the potential of the ingredients supply chain, Food Matters Live promises to connect, inspire and empower attendees from right across the Irish agri-food sector
How can ingredient innovation meet consumer and regulatory requirements in the future? How can global manufacturing leaders meet growing demand with sustainable production? What will AI’s role be in shaping the future of food? How can nutrition be tailored to fuel and sustain health and wellbeing at any age?
These are just some of the most pressing items being discussed currently within global agri-food communities, and a flavour of the insightful topics being explored at Food Matters Live events. Following its success in the UK over the last number of years, Food Matters Live comes to Croke Park, Dublin for the first time on 5-6 November 2024.
The unique event programme will encourage product development teams from manufacturing, retail, foodservice and QSR to explore new and innovative ingredients, technologies and applications while learning about how to create resilience in the ingredient supply chain through sustainable sourcing and the latest science and innovation in positive nutrition.
Food Matters Live has to date hosted five acclaimed events in UK in this format and recognising the wealth of food and beverage innovation and expertise in the Irish market is now bringing the successful format to Dublin.
The programme will include technical expertise, tastings and demonstrations hosted by the international ingredient sector, panel and roundtable discussions featuring more than 40 Irish and international speakers and spotlight sessions connecting nutrition-focused product developers, R&D and academia with health ingredient innovators to explore the latest science and innovation.
Food Matters Live will address three key pillars of innovation
• Ingredient Innovation: Better for you products, clean label innovation, expanding the Low and No categories, plant-based power, HFSS and the Allergens and free-from categories.
• Sustainable Sourcing: navigating deforestation legislation, upcycling ingredients and trends, embracing regenerative agriculture, and impactful ingredient supply chains
• Positive Nutrition: personalised nutrition for sports and active living, cognition, gut health, healthy ageing, weight management and women’s health.

"We found the sessions very insightful, learnt about some new techniques that are close to our hearts as innovators - specifically natural shelf life preservation techniques, moving beyond plant-based protein agriculture and of course the overall focus on great plant-based meat alternatives. I found it inspiring and it was helpful as a networking opportunity also." Senior Brand Manager, Unilever
