McGrath warns of ‘great concern’ over Donnelly’s health budget overspend

Stephen Donnelly is scrambling to fill what could be a €2 billion hole in the health budget to avoid a substantial bailout being required before the end of the year, the Business Post can reveal.

Michael McGrath, the Minister for Public Expenditure, has written to the Minister for Health to warn that the condition of the health budget was a “matter of great concern” and one that was “not accepted” by his department.
